Looks like I need to get to Macatawa asap to start catching Muskies on every trip out so I can help save the fishery before they eat everything in the lake. I think I'll post that the DNR should double their laker stockings just to rile up slightofhand.

It is funny, but only one guy really comments about the muskies eating everything and he is clearly clueless.

Lol… if only I could catch one every trip out to Mac. It would take an incredible pile of muskies to make much impact in the biomass of Macatawa. Between the resident fish, and seasonal movements (shad, white bass, white perch, suckers, sheephead, cats, carp, alewife, perch, eyes, salmonids) it has been a chore to find any pattern whatsoever. I have one month, kind of figured out, but am lost out there most the year.

Never have a problem finding bait… maybe I am just not always finding the right bait.

Guy is from Bay City so for sure does not have a clue about Lake Mac. Jay did a nice job responding about overabundance of shad and no one else seems to be jumping on the topic.
