HATED that I had to miss…family + duck season + noon start = no go for me. Had a good sized Midland crew that all had issues with the nooner start actually. A week later would be the bomb…

I am on midnights now. I would not have made it back to Wayne in time. Sorry to hear about the low turnout. I will definetly take a vacation day next time.

Me, my brother, and my dad wanted to make it, but Dec. is a tough month. We had a X-mas party, and every Saturday this month. I really wanted too go since it would of been my first one. It just seems that Dec. is such a busy time. It sounds like a few people would rather it be later in the day, but what about maybe later in the winter too. Even March or early April when everyone is itching to get out? I would love to see this event after the holidays.

By the way, I probably would of missed our X-mas party but they had free pizza too!javascript:emoticon('[smilie=brows.gif]')

Why not move the swap to January? Way less going on at that time.

Wouldn't weather be more of a concern in January?
Chicago Muskie Show/Lure Swap is in January. We could do it later in January after Chicago just before the Michigan show.

Weather not an issue, pretty rare to find a musky fisherman that is a pansy!

I definitely prefer the idea of a later winter/early spring time for the swap- late Feb or early March. I'm sure the central/Lansing location works best for the most people, but what about the new Michigan muskie show? There is probably not a lure swap associated with that yet, is there opportunity there for MMA??

I've been trying to find an appropriate venue for a swap and there isn't one within 20 miles.

There isn't anything within a reasonable distance that I can find. There are some locations that would work but they're not close. I don't think we'll get people to drive 25 miles after the show. Especially if they have to drive to drive 25 miles in the opposite direction of their home.

This isn't going to be the MMA swap. We need space for 100 people.

Those would work but the closest I found was almost in Ann Arbor, more than 25 miles from the show.

Have you thought about Cabelas? They have a banquet/conference facility, I think.
