So what are people bringing to this years lure swap? We will be bringing a good amount of baits including some jakes, homewreckers, shallow invaders, mantas and other misc. cranks and bucktails. Think my dad is bringing a rod or two if anyone needs another rod. One is a gander mountain and the other is a st. croix.

I have no idea what to bring. Should these be new, used, anything goes lures? Since I'm just starting, there's not a lot I want to part with… Guess I'll just bring something new? [smilie=confused.gif]
Anything and everything. Doesnt have to be lures either; nets, release tools, movies, etc….

There will be lots of people bringing stuff, you don't need to bring anything.
If you are new/starting out this is the place to bring a little cash and take home a bunch of new baits for very little money! This is also a great time to pick up that lure you have wanted to try but didn't want to pay full price. I've even picked up lures at swaps in the past for the price of a beer.

[quote="Will Schultz"]I've been looking forward to this for a while! It hasn't started and I owe Chad $25 for a couple lures… that can't be a good way to start the swap.
I'm having a hard time believing that you don't already have TWO of every good lure there is!
You might be surprised. I like to give everything a try (which is why swaps are great) but very few actually end up making their way out of the minor league. Many have ended up at swaps and just as many end up destroyed because I tried to make it work and ruined it (weighting or cutting parts off, etc.)
I have a short list of lures really. However, when one makes the team there will be at least three.
The starters look something like this…
Bulldawg (reg/mag/pounder)
Jake (8 and 10")
Grandma (6 and 9")
Triple D
Suick (9 and 10")
Weagle
There are others that are lake specific that I'll rarely use in other places, so I don't consider them part of the starters.
Since I unfortunately have to work Saturday I decided to go down to Cabela's and give myself some early X-Mas presents. I picked up a couple of 9" Grandmas(Perch and Silver/Blue Holoform) and my first pounder (cisco). Have a good time and drive careful after the festivities, I really don't want to have to take any of you guys to the hospital [smilie=biggrin.gif]
