Hey everyone, I haven't made it over to LSC yet, but was planning on making my first trip here toward the end of august. Just looking for general color patterns and what if any lures are more productive.
I am planning on bringing d10s and plastic, but am unsure on what to bring for cranks other than baits that run less than 15'.
thanks for the suggestions in advance.

I also may needed a boat partner if someone is interested in joining.

I cant speak for the casters but Lake St. Clair has always been about wandering baits trolling. Lokes, Our Slashers and Stubbies, old Wileys and now Ziggy lures. Near the Shad rivers Tuff Shads, Rippin Shads and our 5 inch Fat Shads are getting it done this year.

Colors seem to be connected to water color. Clear water dark days baits like the St. Lawrence, 9$bass , White Belly perch and most of the frogs. Brighter days clear water you need some brighter greens and blues like our Bluebird perch and the Hot Head.

Off color water calls for more orange and bright yellows and greens and stained, fire perch, Whites and Black Suckers doing it.

My go to lures have always been W.B. perch, 9$bass, St. Lawrence, Hot Head, Bluebird Perch, Sunset Perch, Sanderson Blue Frog , Olive Frog, Coco Perch, Pikie, Sucker and Shad. I fish the lines of off color between gin clear and stained. Mike

Early in the am or late in the pm topraider over the shallow weed beds in baby loon or frog
