Ive been wanting to go to LSC and score my first Muskie for awhile now and do a day Muskie and a day Smallmouth, or even two days Muskie. If nobody is looking I might sneak over there this summer [smilie=theyareontome.gif] BUT I've never been there and don't know ANYTHING about it. I don't know what boat launch to use, what part of the lake to start in, what to look out for and what to expect. The other thing that concerns me is the wave height. I have a 14ft aluminum that holds up surprisingly well in decent waves but its still not fun. Im wondering if theres a bait shop I can call to find out wave heights, all the reports online say less than two feet, but if theres two foot waves I'm not going in my boat. ANY help/pointers would be a huge help. [smilie=bow.gif]
You need a bigger boat lol. In all seriousness LSC is a big monster and I wouldn't go with less than a solid 16 ft mod v. There are a few spots close to launches you could fish on a nice day but if the fish aren't there then your gonna have a tough time because the spots are miles apart and many require long runs across open water.
Ok, I guess I'll try to pick a nice day and maybe give it a go, till then I'll keep dumping ice cubes into Murray and milk that out as long as I can. If anybody finds themselves going to LSC with an empty seat I can help with gas and meet you there. I have a couple friends on the ANG base I owe a couple beers to as well. [smilie=cheers2.gif]
