Looks like I will finally get a chance to get out Muskie fishing for the 1st time this year
(this is the longest it's ever been for me). I'm planning to head to LSC. I don't know that I've ever fished LSC in August before, so this is a new experience for me. Does anyone have any suggestions on general areas to try? I prefer to cast, but will troll if it's a much better option. Is the Detroit River worth hitting this time of year? I've fished the North Channel and the sni in Sept. and later, but never this early. Thanks!!
I can either go this weekend or next week sometime. It looks like weather-wise, that Sat. would be a good choice. Do you agree? Waves don't sound too bad either (1-2 footers predicted). If the fish move into the bay I would assume that areas of the bay closer to the channels would be a good choice. Should I look for weeds, or should I be trolling for supended fish relating to baitfish? If not Saturday, I'd probably wait until next Thurs. or Fri. Thanks for any advice you have.
