I am getting excited, I love casting fallen timber . I don't even need a boat launch so Getting the boat in on sand or gravel will be a non issue. Our roller trailers on both boats eliminate the need to get the tow vehicle wet. This is how we were able to fish all over the U.P. with a two wheel drive Van for all those years. We will be using our little 1448 Sea Ark Jon with the 9.9 hp Merc two stroke for this trip. For those who have not seen it we have it decked out with front and rear casting decks, rod tube storage, 50 pound bow mount with twin batteries and two sets of tracks. This little boat can troll with 31 inch planer boards and up to 8 rods or just 2 to 4 rods in the down easters. Normally we pull it with the little Chevy AVEO hatchback but this launch might be a little much for the car so we will use the Toyota FJ cruiser.

I want to camp on one of the Islands and use our Honda generator for recharging the boat batteries. I am not sure what type of camping is available. Mike

I dont know when right now as I hurt my back a couple days ago putting front brakes on the Aveo. Its getting better fast so maybe in a week or so weather permitting. You might get there before us ha ha ha . This nice cool down will prolong the water getting too hot. Let us know if go sooner than us. Mike
