Planning on hitting the chain next weekend. Have never been before. Any recommendations on places to stay. Lookin for hotel or anything fairly close by and would prefer to not drop s ton of coin. Also wondering where to start. Any of the lakes better/easier than others? Will be fishing in a 16 foot starweld with 50hp. Any other pointers or words of advice are appreciated. Thnx guys.
I have stayed at Cedars Resort on Benway Lake, and recommend it. I haven't stayed during the summer rates, and those are much higher than the offseason rates.
As for the fishing, all lakes but Intermediate are pretty simple. Usually set up 2 cast lengths from shore, and hit all points and neckdowns.
