Last year, I fished until about Dec 10, then Murray froze. However, it reopened and I got out Christmas eve. Would have fished Christmas Day, but obviously, the wife has limits regarding my obsession. Murray froze again….but opened up in early January. Fished six times between the 8th & 17th of January. Last trip, only half of the west arm was open, the rest frozen. So, to answer your question, I'll fish until Old Man Winter closes the lake!
