Not sure if anyone here is a larry dahlberg/hunt for big fish fan but I recently found out that he has teamed up with River2sea to produce a line of lures based on his homemade designs that will include the whopper plopper and the wide glide. I have my doubts that they will truly be like what he created in his workshop but I'm sure they will produce fish, and given the demand generated through his show I'm sure they will sell a lot of them. Those baits are supposed to be available this fall. I'm just waiting and hoping he sells a version of his swimbait "Mr. Wiggly"

Larry was instrumental in my Little Claw design. I watched an episode where he demonstrated modifications to Rapalas making them suspend, twitch and act erratic . My Little Claw twitch was an accident at first then after watching That show I understood why the bait was doing the tricks it did. My thought was that if I could build a twitch lure that you didnt have to modify it would be one step ahead of the game. In my opinion Larry is one of the best (Big Fish) fisherman of all time and no doubt one of the best tinkerers of all time. Mike

I am a big fan of Larry and his show (musky episodes anyways). What I really like is how he tinkers and how he isn't so sponsor-oriented like most of the outdoor shows nowadays. Some shows don't really teach or show you anything they just spend much of their time plugging their sponsors. I like "the next bite" with Pete Maina but can't stand how every "tip" segment of the show is essentially an advertisement for Mercury or Berkely.

River2Sea has come out with a nice swimbait recently, and im sure what larry makes will catch fish. Anything will given time.

That Sea Kong or w/e it is by River2Sea has produced a lot of fish for tanner wildes guiding this year.

Or Purina or Johnsonville Brats! HAHAHA!!! That cracks me up. Dog food and brats as sponsers for walleye & muskie guys. [smilie=sign-werd.gif]

How cool would it be to spend the day in the boat with Dahlberg? That's one of many guys I'd love to fish with! He has probably the hardest hooksets I've ever seen! His forum is cool too and he'll answer any question you ask him. What a great angler! I like him!

Wonder if he'll start selling that new quick strike rig he designed?? It really does wonders if a fish is deeply hooked when using live bait. Not that we could even find suckers around here big enough but his quick strike rig could be pretty successful.

that seemed to be all i could catch on steamers today while out chasing kings, they would have been great bait, all about 10-14 inches, and big chubs too!

Yeah if I had more patience I could catch some out on LSC but once I'm on the boat I can't wait to start casting for muskies. The ultimate drug!!

Larry's is the man. My wife made me contact him after she saw the footage of his workshop…it looked a little familiar! He was helpful and certainly is one of the more creative anglers out there…always thinking about the next best thing.
