Jim, Will I know you are the powers to be. I think we have given 1 or 2 KTD signs to the DNR and I've never seen one put up. All they have down there is a bullentin board with no plexi glass or glass covering it. So one needs to be put on the post there or by the launch there is the no wake sign and made so they can't be removed. I know most people don't like this lake and sometimes I feel like I'm the only person that cares about this lake. Like Ovid there are only 2 no wake lakes and I love it where you don't have to worry about being run over. Not trying to be a jerk here. I also woner after yesterday with not seeing a lot of coontail and being able to see so well, if somebody brought in zebra muscles.
I gave 6 to Rick to post ar Belleville. Against your wishes I gave one to the Minnow Bucket at I-94 Sargent road exit in Jackson. They mounted behind the counter so everyone can see it, they have a lot of traffic in there. Besides putting these up at launches, they should be put up at local bait and tackle shop near muskie lakes.

I thought a couple of those were for Diane and Hudson. We can get heavy coated paper or laminated signs for indoor use that are much cheaper than the expensive metal signs.
Steve, I didn't realize you gave me six signs. Four is all I'm going to put up. I will give two of them back to you for Hudson and Diane. We're going to put up three at the three different Belleville launches and then the other one will go to Huroc park. Jay got us some heavy duty steel posts to mount them on. We're trying to decide what to mount them with and how to anchor them.
I guess I'll have to get 2 of those back from Rick. I thought a sign was put up at Diane, was it ripped off? If so how do we get with the DNR to put up so they don't get ripped off. Stainless steel bolts with Locktight and bend the back of the bolts. Fasten them to the posts that are there or buy metal posts. Who to contact to do this or will they want to do this?
Talked today to the main ranger at Hudson about the KTD signs. He told me his boss (can't remember his name) and there big boss will be at Hudson on Friday and he'll tell them about the sign for Hudson & Diane and they will call me. I know why they are so touchy about signs. I'm not sure if it was the other musky club, but somebody made a 4'x4' sign and attached it to the post by the launch where the No Wake sign is, they weren't to happy. This is what bothers me, he said he's seen our sign and there real nice, but there not there signs. My point is one was ripped off at Diane, this costs us money and some how we have to come to a agreement that these are attached someway that they aren't taken.

They are their signs, this is a cooperative effort between MMA and the DNR. If they want to discuss it further they can talk to the fisheries chief.
Got a voice message from Claude Holcombe head ranger at Hudson. He said our signs will be put up and not for us to do it. When I get them from Rick, I'll take it down there and talk to him about putting it up where it can't be removed. At that time should I take the one for Diane and see if he can get it to the right person for there. Somebody must have talked to him seems he changed his tune about these being our signs and not there's.
I'm not certain, but I think they want to make sure it's done in a manner that they approve. I took the signs and survey box along with the steel post I have down to the ramp here at Belleville. The worker at the booth said he sees no problem with me installing these. We discussed where I could do it and I explained to him how I plan to do it. He took my number down and gave it to his supervisor, so she could give me the final ok. She tried to contact me once, but I've been busy with baseball on weeknights. Now she is out of the office until next week. I was told that someone else may contact me before she gets back. I'm confident I will be given the ok to do it myself.
Steve, are you still coming this way sometime this summer to fish Lsc? If so, let me know so we can meet and take care of it. Or lets make other arrangements.
