Any body interested in fishing Kingston Lake should be aware that they are paving the road from Munising back to the Kingston Lake. There is currently a logging operation clearing the road and it is not possible to reach Kingston Lake. I found out the hard way.

Just wanted to give an FYI.

I am sorry to hear that they are paving the road in. Next they will be plowing it in the winter. Spear chuckers will decimate the lake if they can get to it. Mike and Michelle

What a shame! I felt the thick sand road might help deter the traffic a bit.

Sorry to hear that Scott… that is a long way to drive to get turned around. That is a pretty popular campground/lake so I am surprised that I didn't hear about the road closure.
