Have 4 Kickin' Minnnows, but have only thrown 1 of them a couple times. Just went through my box, and found that 3 of them have broken lips. Is there any repairing them? Is it worth it for a $5 lure? Or is it worth it turning it into a jigging lure?

They're disposable. They have a number of spots where they break but they catch fish better than any other $5 lure out there – I've seen suckers that cost more.

To change subjects a little bit….how do you guys fish these things? Ive mostly heard just a steady retrieve is the best where the lure does all the work, but then I've heard a couple guys like to really horse on them and fish them with hard jerks/pulls.

Like any other crankbait it has the action needed already built in, you can add action if desired. The best results I've had and seen have been a medium retrieve with the speed increased in the last 15' and into a well executed figure eight. Always do at least two full turns as fish will show late on this lure. If I have a fish engage it anywhere in the retrieve or figure eight I expect to catch them in the figure eight. In fact, I've never caught a fish away from the boat on a Kickn Minnow.

i also like a medium retreive with a speed increase at the end ..i just let the lure do the work ….. i also do the fig 8s …they come in slow and low on them most times ….but i have had them hit right when the lure hits the water and also into the first couple of handle turns…. more so in the fall…i catch fish all year long on them but they seem to really shine for me in the fall
