I didn't see any concerts before 1997… but I've seen some good ones since. Here is list of my highlights- I was and still am somewhat of a MetalHead [smilie=jamminz.gif]
sorry it is a big list but these were the best of the hundred plus concerts I've seen….
1st concert- Metallica with Corosion of Conformity Feb '97
Family Values Tour '98 with KoRN, Limp Bizkit, Ramstein, Orgy and others
Megadeth at the State Theater in K-Zoo in '98
Metallica at Pine Knob in '98- this was dubbed "Sod Fest" as 25% of the sod on the hill was uprooted and hurled through the air. It was total anarchy, absolute craziness, I will never forget it… even though Metallica SUCKED in my opinion from that day forward. You don't play 30 minute acoustic sets if you are "METALLICA" come on!
Page and Plant- Birthday present to my Dad from me in '98. They could still JAM!
OZZFEST 98- Ozzy, Tool, Megadeth, System of a Down, Sevendust, Motorhead, Incubus, Coal Chamber and more
Black Sabbath w/ PanterA (RIP Dimebag Darrell) in '99
OZZFEST '99- Black Sabbath, Rob Zombie, DefTones, Slayer, Primus, Godsmack, System of a Down, Fear Factory, SlipKnot, Static X and more
Roger Waters at the Knob in '99 (Great Show!)
OZZFEST '00- Ozzy, Pantera, Godsmack, Static X, Incubus, P.O.D., Queens of the Stone Age, Taproot and others
Tatoo the Earth Festival '00 (quite possibly the most intense metal concert ever)- SlipKnot, Slayer, Sevendust, Sepultura, Hatebreed, Coal Chamber, MudVayne and others
Also Pantera Headlining at the Delta Plex was great… they put on a heck of a show… it is sad to know that was the last time I'd see 'em.
Most of these concerts were NOT for the faint of heart, but I was young and crazy and had a BLAST!!!
When i was wee lad, i saw Metalica and Guns and Roses when they toured together. I was 9 so that would make it like 91 or 92. My brother was forced to take me since my dad got him the tickets. The sliver dome was rockin that night. I remember the music being so loud i got a headache. I think i saw my first couple topless women that night. Another good one was Rage against the machine at the State theater. They rioted and cops had to come in.
Almost forgot! I got to go backstage at Kid Rock a couple of times in Dayton Oh. Those where crazy nights.
The best performance by far was Queensryche Operation Mindcrime/Empire tour of 1991.
The best show was KISS at the VanAndel a few years ago.More like an event than a concert.
But the funnest was last Oct. in Shomberg ILL. (just outside Chicago)
for a Y&T weekend. For those that dont know,Y&T has been around in one form or another since 1976!!They never got real popular, but they ROCK!
They still play all over the world in smaller venues.Up close and personal!!

I saw so many of the great ones its hard to pick one. Led Zepplin in New york was so cool. I saw Kiss during the first tour. I saw Z.Z.TOPP in Grand Rapids at the old Civic AUditorium Fandango tour. That was the best three piece band ever. I opened up for Kansas and Poison so I got to hang out backstage. That was very Cool. Michelle opend up for Steppin Wolf we got to hang out with rock stars ha ha ha . C.C. DeVille tried to buy my custom Wolfgang guitar. I jammed with Cub Coda from Brownsville station and two of the original Sax players from the old Bob Seger System . I met two of the Funkadelics along with George Clinton, Rich Cole ex bass player from the Romantics and Mitch Rider. I was a rock guitarist for 23 years. The best Musicians I ever saw live though were not Rockers. I had the privaledge to see the Mahavishnu Orch. Live in 1975 at the Civic Auditorium. John Mclaughlin on Guitar and Sitar, Billy Cobbham on drums, Jerry Goodman on electric violin Jan Hammer on Keys and Jocko Pastorious on Bass. They were freakin awsome before anyone else could play at all. It was called advanced Jazz and all instrumental. Best concert I ever saw. Most of those guys played with people like Jeff Beck and Stanley Clarke and John did an album with Carlos Santana. I wish I would have gone to see Deep Purple. I had a chance during the Machine Head tour but got stoned AND MISSED IT. I missed out on seeing the Stones as well. But I saw lots of good bands like Rush, Styx, Triumph, Foghat, Edgar Winter, Rick Derringer, Ronnie Montrose, Ted Nugent, Bob Segar, Cactus, George Thorogood, Poison, Motley Crue and Kansas to mention about half.
I would like to see the Eagles now that they are back on tour. I would like to see the Brian Setzar band those guys are really good. I like some of the new bands but I will always miss Joey Ramone. Long Live the Ramones and the raw power they delivered. They were loud they were snotty ,they were rebels and Punks, they were Rock and Roll to the core. After all that was what it was all about wasnt it? Mike and Michelle
Here is a list in no particular order. I'm forgetting some for sure. I've always been in to music and still have a drum set that I jam on every so often.
Kiss – First tour, Jackson ice arena, 125 degrees inside, dripping wet
Aerosmith a few times
Bob Seeger
ZZTop
Alice Cooper – Billion Dollar baby tour
Early J. Geils Band: One of the best live concerts
Police
Inxs
BTO
Emerson, Lake and Palmer
Buddy Guy
Santana
Peter Frampton
Yes
Dave Mason
Stevie Ray Vaugh: Shortly before he passed, incredible
The Kinks
Cowboy Junkies
Steve Winwood: Awesome
The Who Pontiac silverdome: One of my favorite bands but not a good concert, too big of a place
Mitch Ryder
I still play sometimes. I have two guitars. One American made Kramer and an Eddie Van Halen Wolfgang in Flame maple . I play through a Peavy trans tube 100 watt with 4 12 inch Paul Sheffields. Michelle has a nice double set of Synthesizers, Kurzwiel and Korg Triton Extreme. I have a basement recording studio with 24 track Fostex hard drive recorder and studio monitors, boards and effects. I can burn CD Masters with our Tascam CD Burner. We had a Christian Rock band for 5 years before several members had to quit due to relocation. I have two albums worth of recorded original music that needs to be mastered . It has been hard to find the time to finish it all. I have a very nice TAMA 6 piece fusion Drum Kit for sale if anyone interested. All stands and new heads no cymbals. Mike and Michelle

. Mine is cream with gold pin stripes. I ought to repaint a guitar in a fish scale pattern or rattlesnake scale. My son has a Kramer Focus that would be pretty cool repainted. Mike
