Seeing that I now have 3 of them and never used them before, I don't know jack abot them. Are all of them weighted or are some that you can let float up. Do you use the walk the dog style motion. Any info would be helpfull. Thanks

I think Crane only makes gliding jerk baits. You'll have a sinking bait that will walk the dog when worked correctly.

Steve, a Jerkbait is just another style of lure. Just like all Topwaters are not the same, jerkbaits come in all sizes, shapes, and do all sorts of different things. A Bulldawg is even classified as a Jerkbait in some cases. So is a Killr Eel which has action like no other lure. A Suick is another kind. A Jerkbait can also be classified as a glider which will usually have a side to side action, but some can go up and over, down and over. Just depends on how you work it. Some gliders are slow sinking, others suspend really well.

Where's Ed? For a while I tried to ban jerk baits from my boat, but Ed brings like 50 of them each time we go, so I gave up. He's a jerkbait maestro! He gets a little hyper talking about Hellhounds, so if you have any HH questions, get them ready…

I like the side to side jerkbaits like a hellhound or phantom. You can fish them fast or slow. Early and late season are probably the best times. I do like to fish, them fast over weeds in the summer. If i was going to buy just one it would be a glitter walleye 8" hellhound.
