The Boundary Waters Musky Club has invited the members of MMA to their annual banquet. It will be held Feb.23rd 2013 at the Econolodge in Iron Mountain. The cost is $10, and will include the dinner, and a 1 year membership to their club. Benji Wood has also graciously offered take anyone out icefishing for any species (muskies included!) if anyone wants to make a fishing trip out of it.

Hmmmmm…

Since the tahq is a moving body of water, it should stay open all winter right? Perhaps a dual fishing/banquet trip may be in order??

I don't know….! I've seen the Grand freeze over plenty of times. And it's a heck of a lot colder up where the Taq is!

You will be riding your quad or sled on the Lower Tahq ice in late Feb, but there will be some open spots you could cast in the upper reaches or at the Falls. Plenty of dams to hit right near Iron Mountain too for a chance at a winter casting ski.
