What a great outing put on by our Northern Michigan members. Huge thanks to Kevin (cyberlunge) and David (muskypimp) for arranging everything and providing a great lunch.
It was great to see everyone during lunch, I really enjoy sitting around with everyone talking muskies and MMA.
There was also a surgical demonstration during lunch… but I'll let Dave (nstagator) talk about that – I've got a good pic (see photo forum).

As anyone who has ever hosted an event will atest there is a fair amount of worrying that comes with it- Will anyone show up, what is the weather going to do etc…
We felt that it went off quite well considering unknown water and competing events, weather etc…
At lunch we had 23 people including five non-members several of which will hopefully be members soon. I got to meet several guys I had not seen before which was cool in itself. Our northern brethren Jayme W. was there so the north of Clare membership was 75% represented. There were many fished seen in the 40's range and the two I know of that were caught were 46.5 and 48. So anyone wondering about fish potential, yes there are big ones available.
Thanks to everyone who came and contributed. If there is any interest in doing it again lets start thinking about it now- Dave and I were thinking it may make a good opening weekend destination. Your thoughts will be appreciated.
