Well its mid February and Michelle and I are watching the ice reports and preparing for early season Muskies. Michigan season closes the 15th of March and for three years in a row we have had open water in Michigan on the 14th. Some lakes are already opening up in Indiana with some parts of James lake and Tippy open now. Lake Webster launch is open but not much of the lake yet. One good warm spell and some warm rain and its time to get fishing. Mike
im most likely planning on trying to get out before the season closes this year. The way the weather is, unless there is a huge storm, which i doubt we should easily have open water by 1st of march if not earlier
As of yesterday there was water all around the edges of murray my cousin said, guys were still ice fishing
EDIT: check that, my cousin said that was as of monday, before all the rain

HAHAHA!!! You're not the only one who can remember weird details about "fish circumstances"!
In all honesty, I remember finding that pic after catching that game-winning 48.5"er a few years back at the Ice-out tourney. I was googling Indiana muskies, and found some article with that pic. In all fairness, I'm pretty sure it has been posted on here before too.
