Macatawa had very good visibility of 2 to 3 feet yesterday in the west end as I shore-cast for a little while there. Boat access was still socked in then and doesn't quite look open yet this afternoon but this lake opens quickly. It was open yesterday roughly from Tiara Yachts westward.
Don't forget, Round is one of those lakes that closes on the last day of November.

Lots of open water (and gorgeous ducks!) up to the boat launch on Sanford, but there's a van parked in front blocking the ramp…DOH!

I just got done driving around Austin. The whole SW end of the lake is open, unfortunately everything around the access is still iced up. There is about 30 feet of open water right at the launch, but you can't actually go anywhere. I'll check back tonight and tomorrow and let everyone know what I find.

Austin is 90% open water! Problem is the 10% of the ice is blown up in chunks against the ramp. I think if you were bold you could probably be able to get a boat in. Should be fishable by tomorrow I would think. I know I'm going tomorrow after work ice or not, I'll find a way to get my boat in somehow.

I haven't researched it yet but are the licenses from 09 still valid in IN?

I take it the season is currently open so a Friday fish day is ok?

Season doesn't close in Indiana.

2009 Licenses are good until April 1.
