Anyone going down a day early to prefish?
I'm thinking about it. Last year, I left my house at 2:45 am. I was too excited the night before to get any sleep. The only problem I've been thinking about is charging my batteries. I suppose I could take them out of the boat and charge them in the motel room, but with all that racket, I probably won't be able to sleep. My trolling motor is a little on the old side. One battery only lasts about 6-8 hours on constant.

Many motels have outside hook-up and even if it doesn't you can run a cord to the onboard charger.

Well…. a couple other problems may arise with that… First, my battery compartment doesn't lock, and Second, I don't have an onboard charger. I'm prehistoric! [smilie=bud.gif]
There will be four of us heading down Friday for the Ice Out. What would be the easiest way to sign up to Muskies Inc. and get an Indiana fishing license. Should I just wait until the morning of the registration or do you recommend getting this done prior to heading down? I'm looking forward to meeting some of the MMA members & hopefully catching some fish. Thanks, Rob

Yeah, and if you didn't have a license last year, watch what you buy this year. Last year, I bought a one day pass. So this year, I was just going to buy a full license. but DON'T buy a full license that will get you through the tourny. You'll waste a lot of money. Just buy a 7 day pass, or buy 2 one day passes.
