I was real surprized at how fat some of these fish down there were. I think I am going to have to make it down there every year now when our season is closed up here in Michigan. It feel great to get my fix in the middle of March.

That makes sense…Good thing I won't ever have to fish those lakes any time other than late-March/early-April so they'll always be fat when Im down there.
I assume the reason the season doesnt close down there is because they dont spawn successfully, right?

Yes, I've learned this same lesson. Didn't feel good at all for about a week. I was on a buddies boat and his father had a GIANT. Thanks to my net job, he lost it.
