I just checked with Long Range Archery(bait shop) they get their minnows on Friday so they will have a full tank Saturday Morning. They open at 8:00 am. I plan on being at the bait shop from 8:00 am till 8:30 then we can all head over to the lake from there. Here is the link to the bait store.

They have a zoom map right on the page. Tel. number is there as well. My number is 231-821-9020 . We will be having a fish fry after the outing at our house for all who wish to chow afterwords. I have two fryers and oil. Will be serving OrIda Steak fries with the Fish and tartar sauce. You can bring a dish if you like, or chips, cole slaw etc. Bring your own beverages we will have Iced Tea and Lemonade on hand . Im figuring on fishing from 9 am till 4 pm then tearing down before dark and heading over to start cooking. We have one power auger and could use a second one. There is a lot of ice on the lake. Temps are warming and this could be a great time. I have fish in reserve if we fail to ice any but that is almost impossible with this lake. Ill do a filleting session for those who wish to learn how to remove Y-Bones. Shop tours are also available for those who have not been here before.
Gear up with tip ups and dont use hooks over 2/0 in size as these Pike are not real big. I use 1 and 2 /0 round bend VMC and they hook almost every time. Depth finder(clip on type) Slush scooper, SOMETHING TO SIT ON!! Bucket or folding chairs rock. Sleds help a lot in getting things out on the ice. Any questions call me. Mike

3 tip ups found and one of my old St Croix jig rods, there's another somewhere but it's hiding. Ty can run tip ups and I'll stick with the jig rod. Thinking of bringing a chainsaw to cut a 3×50' opening so we can cast… LOL!!

I think I'll probably bring my underwater TV camera. I'm borrowing hopefully 10-12 tip ups from a guy at work, so I may have some extra.
Awesome Bails, We need that second auger as we will be splitting up into two groups. This way everyone will be on good water. We are bringing the bucket toilet and one tent. Michelle and Ii are going to pre drill holes in one of the spots Friday afternoon. This way she can take one group to their area and Ill take the other Saturday morning. Will save about an hour this way. I also need to look at the parking area. Mike.
Okay the meet time is from 8:00 Am and 8:30 am at Long Range Archery. The directions are on page one of this post. Get your tip up minnows there and follow us to Big Blue Lake. If you already know where the lake is we will be parking at the Boat launch area which is on the north end of the Lake. I am going out tomorrow to Punch most of the holes and check the conditions of the parking area and ice. This rain might create a slushy surface but there is a lot of ice on this lake. Maybe 2 feet in spots. Temps are going to be in the mid 20's so dress for it or bring a portable ice hut. Michelle can share hers with any young kids that get cold. It is heated. and seats 4. Ill post here one last time tomorrow after I get back from the lake. Mike
