It was a great time once again. The fishing was pretty normal, it just takes lots of hours to see or catch a fish.
Friday was fun spotlighting on Skegemog looking for muskies (we didn't see any).
Saturday fishing started out with one seen right away and then not another fish seen until just before dinner. The 21 pike and a couple smallmouths mixed in kept things interesting though.
Saturday night we had a great campfire at Cedars and stayed up way too late (BTW – those of you that didn't show at all for the fire are lame).
Sorry for the delay in posting about the Cedars outing. I thought this was an amazing weekend. 3 GLS boated and 7 follows. I had to down size a ton to do it. The funny part was I caught two of them on Sunday right before I left. I was fishing the weedy area of Ellsworth towards the Wilson end. Trevor you and SV should have stayed just a few minutes longer. I doubt if you were even to Wilson by the time I hooked up the first time and have a 3 follows before you left. Once again my secret good luck charm came through.
Seeing that we are all in the same club, I probably should share what I was using.
A bubble gum colored beetle spin trolled fast.

On a serious note, thank you to all of you who offered a place to stay and directions etc. I was nice to see, meet and talk to some of you. I am not sure who puts these events together, but thank-you to you as well.
Oh and Will…..you are right about being lame, but I slept like a rock. All day on the water and the closest I got to being asked to do something was by Pete, who kept saying, "Dude, can you motor over to that tree, I'm snagged again?"

Yeah, but I don't think it was 'til 1am when the fire really took off!!
No kidding… those of you that thought our firebuilding skills were bad should have been there later. I'm not sure if it was because we finally took a walk across the street for good wood or… the mojo caused by firewalking?

By good wood, do you mean gasoline? [smilie=brows.gif]
No… plenty of accelerant was used during the process. Good wood means hardwood… dang it… that doesn't sound any better.
