Hey all, since we're always in need of money and ways to make money I've got an idea…
This is something that I've been doing for the last couple years on my own but if we all get involved it might really help MMA. Last year I won a Professional Edge rod on another website and donated that rod to the 2007 banquet (thanks Professional Edge). If I remember right, the rod sold for more than $200. This year I won a new curly sue on Muskie First (thanks Shack Attack) that will be donated to MMA for the raffle at the Bruce Memorial. I recently entered another contest on Muskie First to win an Okuma idx 400 reel, if I win that reel we'll auction it off to pay for youth licenses at No Kid Left Inside day.
Alas, I am just one man but together we have power! OK that was a little dorky… seriously though.
If we all get in on these contests we can really tip the scale in favor of an MMA member winning the contest and in the end MMA can use the prize in an auction or raffle. What am I thinking… that would be cheating right? I know this might sound like we're playing the system but afterall it isn't like we're taking candy from children. We play by the rules, of course, but we also can almost assure that MMA will win the prize.
