Boy, he better be careful! Can you imagine getting a hook stuck in you that was connected to a rope that was connected to the bottom… Seriously… I have heard of many a lures bing pulls from ropes on Murray. Just be careful.

yea my friend is pretty careful he follows a rope down, in this case, the anchor that was stuck to it. The lure was stuck a ways down there and the high vis in murray helps otherwise he prob wouldn't of done it. It also had one of your leaders attached to that jake.

Yep! The couple times my bro has done it w/ scuba gear I made him take my knipex down with him just in cast he got pinned to a rope w/ a hook.

Great post! Before opening I had thought it was about triggering follows from Murray fish. Let's start putting our names on lures and offer a reward for lost favorites.

Ha!

BTW: I found an old 10"(?) perch Jake in the weeds at Ovid a few weeks ago. Looks like it had been there a LONG time with VERY rusty hooks and split rings. Still attached was an insufficient 18" trolling leader with swivels at both ends and an extra split ring and swivel at the end attached to some pretty flimsy mono. I wonder if it was Will or Lemay…?

The lure is still good because the hook attachment eyes are SS. Cool I'll catch a fish with it, someday. Jeez, I wish there were muskies in Ovid…
