If any water could produce a 60×31 it would be there.

Big fish no doubt, but unless that guy is 7' tall and 400lbs it isn't near what he is claiming it to be.

Oh the boredom when temps are too high to fish… here is a treat though. I'll leave my feelings and sarcasm for the guide and his restrictive methods out of it, but this is what happens when yuppies trying to catch skams encounter a real fish (albeit a baby). I hope the link works, if not it can be found by searching facebook for matthew supinkski. Of interesting note it was on the St Joe…

FYI…… the individual who posted that on FB admitted to using a "friends tag" on the fish. He will be getting an official visitor by the end of the day. I'll update, if I can, how their conversion goes.

Matthew supinski doesn't have anything on his page other than trout so you must have to be friends with him to see

It's a video of someone reeling in a skamania and a musky trying to eat it… their reaction is humorous.

I guess not only was the tagging of the fish not legit, but the dude didn't even have a fishing license. So the DNR has the fish, it was 51" and DNR got him for no lisence, no tag, and will seek restitution for the fish. Hope it all sticks.

Haha that's funny, he got busted. Wish we had more dnr readily available on our lakes. I haven't seen one in probably 6 years

Hard to lose a license you never had. Hopefully its a lesson learned for him and his friends though.

Anything happening with his buddy who let him use his tag? Seems both were in the wrong. If I let a friend use my deer tag after he illegally shot a deer, am I not part of the problem?

Anyone know what the restitution will be? I'd like to see the tiered rates that they use for large antlered animals.

Could probably put an actual $ amount on it based on cost to rear and stock vs how many make it to 50. I'll bet he doesn't have to pay over 500 but he and his friend should both loose their fishing privileges for two years. I've heard of fish restitution being done at $10/pound for some fish but I've also heard of it being based per fish. It would be cool to find out who the judge is going to be and let them know exactly what that fish is worth. I think I've seen sturgeon restitution at $2000.

The funny thing about that guy was earlier this spring he was jumped about some pictures he posted online. He started sending me private messages and I asked him a few questions. He claimed to never keeps a musky he's only catch and release. He also invited me to come fishing at night with him when he see the big ones claiming 6' Muskie and dnr killed one that was eating dogs. I think this guy has some mental problems on top of other issues. Not the brightest tool in the shed. Needless to say I didn't take him up on the offer maybe I should have he's catching 50" fish and I'm not!! Lol [smilie=brickwall.gif]
