I don't see much difference either but I don't use the regular hellhound anyways so it's not a huge deal to me. And Will, you and jlong need to start a petition on the musky sites to get the 10" DDD in the works cause ERC doesn't seem to be listening now [smilie=biggrin.gif]
Jason had a major hand in the design of the DDD, you would think they would listen to him. My opinion doesn't matter at all…
I got some of these Rapala Subwalks in the large and medium size at a stupid low clearance price ($4.88 each) at Cabelas a few weeks ago. They look alot like a Hellhound but come smaller. I am going to take some to FL in a few weeks to see how they look in the water but they might be good. I wish ERC would make a 12" or bigger Hellhound….

I wasn't impressed with either of the new rapala baits that came out last year. There's just something not quite right with them but I haven't messed with the subwalk or the glidin rap to see if I could resolve the problems (or destroy them… which is more likely).
Gliders are really weird and a pain in the butt to get running just right. I've got an 8" slammer drop belly that is awesome and also have an 8" slammer db that is junk. Talking with Bill Schwartz in Chicago he only made a few and they were such a pain in the butt that he doesn't even want to mess with them again… one would be great and the next five would be junk. He said I was really lucky to have one that worked well.
I have a sub walk.. The smaller ones for bass are killer. But will is right, its really wierd and you have to have a really specific rod type to get it working properly. I have to use one of my lighter musky rods to get it working ok. Most leaders cause it to lose its action. I cannot get them to work right at all if they have any kind of a leader on the smaller sub walks.
Had a lot more muskies go after the smaller version than anything else.
