The sun and I do not get along and I still get burned even after layers and layers of sunscreen. Because of this I am looking into getting a head/neck buff and am wondering if anyone has used one before? If so, what did you think of them and where is the best/cheapest place to get them?

Well there are specific UV blocking buffs that I am looking for and I know plenty of places have them. I am just looking to know if they are confortable to wear all day and if anyone knows a place where I can get them on clearance as most places have them for around $20.

I'm pretty sure you are referring to a neck gaiter, available quite freely through places like Cabela's, Dick's, Gander, plus any higher-end outdoor store that sells skis and that type of gear. Even Wal-Mart will have these occasionally for turkey hunting and deer hunting. They are made in a wide variety of fabric types and it is best to feel them instead of buy them over the web. Most but not all are stretchable fabric and some are best for October, some better for June (although they all will be warmer than nothing). But even the non-UV ones have a big impact on sun penetration. You have to hydrate a little more on warmer days with them on.

Have worn one quite a bit in Florida and it seems weird at first but you get used to it and it gets comfy and is great sun protection. If you don't het along with the sun you will love it.

Yeah, I wear them all the time, especially with my shaved head. I doubt you'll fund the Buff brand on clearance anywhere, but they're worth the $20. I've got both standard and UV models and both work in the sun. I got a couple of the insect ones over the winter, but haven't tried them yet.

It's similar to a neck gaiter, but it is it's own product. It does things a gaiter can't do.

I don't burn and neglect sun screen all the time. My wife bought me a Buff and it's great for running fast, fishing on hot days and even the mayfly hatch. Totally worth every penny. I can completely cover my face and it's breathable. Get one and don't worrry about putting lotion on your face every half hour
