I am meeting a buddy in Hayward late sept early oct. Woundering if anyone could recommend any good lakes near hayward other than the flowage. I know nothing of that area, but since my buddy is driving from Wyoming it seemed like a good place to meet. I have scheduled a day trip with steve genson, but plan to bring my boat and fish a few more days. Might even stop at chicagon on the way back home.

I would suggest considering Court Oreilles or even Grindstone before the Flowage. They are clear-water lakes instead of the brown-tinted Flowage, and Court Oreilles in particular has a wide variety of weeds, rocks, bars, etc. to keep your interest.

How about Lake Winter off of 70 going into the town of Winter. Don't know much about it, drove by it looks interesting.
