While Fish Fest was a success with many people attending. I did get some bad news from Matt Hughes. It seems our Iowa fish are not doing very well and were being treated for some malady(don't recall the name), with significant losses already. [smilie=frown.gif]
Let's keep our fingers crossed and hope they save a few.

Can anyone elaborate a little more on this?

I can…they simply can't raise muskies without major problems at Wolf Lake.

Thats about all I know. I asked Matt on Saturday how the Iowa fish were doing, and he said "not good". He said they had contracted some disease/infection and fish were dieing. Again, I don't recall the name of the disease, but he told me he had treated them that morning for it. He really didn't say how many are left or what the remaining fish's chances were to recover.

Matt, and everyone I talked to at the hatchery, are very frustrated and disappointed with the problems they have had this year with muskies. Particularily after last years success.
