So I may be moving to the Grand Rapids area this summer because of a girl. What this means: I potentially may not be able to muskie fish this year because my boat is stored at my fathers house, unless I can find an apartment that is boat friendly. Anyway, I would rather die than go a year without muskie fishing so if anyone needs a partner on the water, and you live out in this area, feel free to contact me. Thanks Adam

I'm sure us GR folks will be able to get you into the boat a good amount this year.

Quite a few of the apartments in the area have garages that will fit a boat. Usually the garage is an additional rental fee but generally pretty cheap.

I think the bigger problem here is that you are moving for a girl? [smilie=ballchain.gif]

Okay, um… Shouldn't someone have knocked this one out of the park by now? So you're saying you are about to consciously choose a girl over muskies, right? I um… Uh…

Just teasin', Adam. 😀

Get ahold of me when you get into the area. We can hook up a trip or two.

Abomb is one cool dude, everyone down there will be very happy that they opened up their boat to him. One time he saw a giant pig on Sanford…and instead of keeping it quiet like he probably thought he should have…he told me! And I forgot that I owed him a lure for like 3 years and he hasn't pestered me at all. Of course these and other cool manly acts came before he met a girl, so who knows now…

Abomb give me your freakin address so I can send out your q-burt!

Does this girl know you have that sickness, Muskie Fever? Would the rent on a house be in the same ballpark as a apartment and you'd get a garage.

If I understand correctly, you are moving to Grand Rapids for a woman. Don't move in with her! She see all your muskie stuff and your little illness will be forced into remission.

Your second option is to try and train her to buy you muskie stuff. Although, that didn't go so well for me. My wife bought me a rod, reel, line and even went to the banquet once. All I was successful at, was increasing her awareness of the cost of this sport. I now ship all my new lures, directly to my office, where my secretary has been sworn to secrecy!

Just trying to help a brother out. [smilie=ballchain.gif]

i moved in with my gf while she was on internship and that ruined our relationship. The plus side of this we broke up right before musky season opened last year. Thank god we broke up just in time for fishing.
