I bought a GoPro just recently, and am probably going to buy a second one so I can have one on my head and one stationary somewhere in the boat. I want to get a couple of extra batteries and charger and I see on ebay they have about 20 different brands. Obviously the knock-off brands are considerably cheaper. Has anybody had any experience with any of these cheaper batteries and is it something I should be worried about? I'm not going to buy any of the Chinese brands but may settle for a knock-off if it will work about as well.

Yeah, I got the knock offs with more voltage. They are great, they fit a little less snug than the OEM batteries but battery life is longer and I got three for waaaay less than the OEM batteries.The brand is KAPAKEN 3.7v 1500mAh and I got them on Amazon.
Thanks Chris. I was hoping to hear that because I can get 2 batteries and a charger for around the same price as 1 "GoPro" brand battery.

I bought the same kit and it is a great deal. Batteries last as well as the original Gopro and the charger works fine.
If someone would have been able to charge batteries we would have one pretty sweet highlight from this fall……(or if my broke a## would have had one going myself, marklar)Shamoo! Jason has a good idea, a highlight of highlights for MMA at outdoor shows and on the website / facebook page would be awesome….
maybe we'll have to bring one to the hatchery to get some close up video too, if we are going to represent MMA as something other than just fishing???
One more reason I need to get one! I have been using the excuse of not having the computer to be able to do anything/store any video that I took anyway, but thankfully that 10 yr old POS crashed a few weeks ago, so I no longer have an excuse 😈
