I've spent half weeks down there on a couple of occasions without problems. No funny business at the launches, or at the resort (I usually stay at the Dixie Haven Resort).

I don't think there is much to worry about, plus if they want to pick on out-of-towners they just have to look at the license plate.

I noticed at the cafepress.com site that our old smokin' hot fleece beenies are no longer available. What gives? Was the hip Midland crowd the only ones who dared sport the hip, new age gansta look? Highly dope I tell ya.

One might suggest that MMA officers have some available and bring some with them to MMA functions (monthly meetings/Ovid Outing/etc.) and sell them (for more than they cost at the web site) to lazy, forgetful members who don't think of doing it otherwise…
