I pulled my 16' aluminum with my 4 runner, I probably should go out and see if it needs a top off after the trip down to Webster. But I had a shorter drive compared to yours Cool

It needed to be hijacked… I think it was the last time WLMC won the trophy that we didn't have someone from MMA in the op three. Dismal performance for sure!

I would be surprised if our boats didn't weigh about the same. I'm guessing both on trailer weigh about 2600 lbs.

I think I'm at 3100. That boat is friggin' heavy. Next time we're on the water, see for yourself how hard it is to manuever by hand next to the dock.

I think you're right… What did they build that thing from, lead? The hull weights are about 400# different between our boats the Quantum is about 1700 and the Targa about 1300. You need a V-8!

I just filled the Aveo for our little trip to Skinner or Upper Long tomorrow. 27.50 for 10 gallons. That will get us there and halfway back. If I drive easy and take my time we get about 28 to 30 pulling the sea Ark. I dont pull our starcraft down there anymore. Our 1 ton van gets about 12 mpg. Too expensive for one day trips. Ill spend the money to pull the bigger boat if I am going to be there for a week. Michelle and I talked about it again this year. What we have saved in gas over the last 5 years has more than paid for our little 14 footer. Best investment we ever made was the Aveo and the Sea Ark combo . 65,000 miles on the car now and it has been pulling the Jon boat from day one. Very economical Musky rig for small water.Mike

HAHAHA!!! Plus add in the weight of a 115 hp over a 90. No, wait… That weight is probably made up in your boat with lures.

I did the calculations just now on our mpg to Upper long and back. W e used 13 gallons of gas 340 total miles. 26.15 . I was driving 70/75 on the expressways though and pushing it on the way home. My guess is we got about 28 on the way down when we were taking it easy and 24 on the way back. I wonder of the new hi breds get good fuel economy when towing. Mike
