Treatment of the eggs to kill VHS has been proven successful, so that's what they are sticking with. Before the VHS outbreak the original intention was to move adults into a broodstock lake and begin the egg taking process from there.
Let's hope that the 2011 LSC egg take goes well (and the rearing…) so this step change in our state's musky production won't keep getting delayed!
