Had something similar happen jigging for walleye on the Detroit River. the guy I was fishing with landed his on a 5'6" med rod with 6lb mono. My net job got real sloppy when the yolk of the net broke and spun around with 25" of fish still hanging out I got it in and made him buy me a steak for dinner. Wish we had it on video it was a real s*** show
