Fish kill due to hot water

I was afraid this was going to happen. Heard there were a lot of nice pike dying on gun too. Hope it doesnt effect the muskies, I worry about lakes like ovid, diane, hudson, osterhout, etc in this weather. More hot sunny weather on the way too.

My dad went out bluegill fishing on Long Lake Saturday morning and he said temps were between 86-87. I was out on Gravel Lake walleye fishing yesterday morning and the temps were 86. Since the air had slightly cooled you could literally feel the heat coming off the surface of the water. Didn't stop the walleyes from biting though!

I don't think it got any tigers. Pretty sure they were all pure (regardless of what the DNR stocking records say)

Same thing happened on West and Austin in Kalamazoo. I have not heard of any Muskies though. Just Pike, Cats, Gills and Perch. Last time I was on Austin temp was 88.6 in the warmest spot.
