How are the little muskies doing at the hatchery? There are over 50,000 spring fingerlings in the muskie building right now. They should be big enough to go out to the ponds in a couple weeks.
Iowa came through for us in a HUGE way this year and we brought over 13,000 muskies about a week and a half ago that are out in the ponds at Wolf Lake. Thanks to those that have donated to this program directly or through the banquet!
Yes, it's true there are over 65,000 healthy muskies at Wolf Lake Hatchery right now.
Jen, Brian and I worked Fish fest saturday from 11-4…It was hot hot hot, and oh yeah, did i mention that it was hot?? LOL Had a great time!!!!
They said there were over 1000 people thru there saturday.. We got to talk to alot of people, got to help out a bunch of kids, and even got to talk to a few spearers, and hopefully educated them.. they called it fishing, I called it killing….. LOL was a pretty good conversation…
For anyone who hasn't been there or didn't want to volunteer a couple of hours… I highly recommend it…. It's well worth the time with very little
effort on your part….you get to do what you love to do, TALK MUSKIES..
We even got a sneak peak at our babies… 50,000 of them they were all healthy and doing great…….

It was cool hangin with kmur also.My kids had a great time there.It was
hot,but worth it.Lots of young people that we talked to,and some old timers
as well.I even met a older couple from the south side muskie hawks.I
believe they are out of Illinois.??
The event is nice,the muskies are awesome,the company was great,
but the highlight of the day was doc Schultz "top gun" flybye.To cool!
