How do you find the weeds on lake st. Clair? Every time I fish Anchor Bay, when I shut the boat down in a good looking area (weeds) within five minutes I am off them. Even looking at the map where it says weeds are suppose to be, they aren't always there, and if they are, it seems like it just in a few clumps here and there. I have been able to locate some around that salt river area, but heading the other direction out in front of New Baltimore/Frog creek/Marciac creek, I can hardly find any. It getting sooo frustrating. This is like the fifteenth time I have fished anchor bay, and I still only have like one semi productive spot. Any help, please PM me. Thanks -Adam

Adam,

Do you have GPS? If you do please let me know and I will mark any good weedy spots and PM them to you.

Hmm… I think it's harder to find spots w/o weeds in AB right now. Marsac has good weeds in 6-10 feet of water, Brandedburg has weeds in 4-8 feet of water. From Selfridge to the Salt there are good weeds in 4-8 feet of water. Are you looking too shallow?

No we were in 4-8 feet of water. Mostly 6-8 feet. We found weeds, but no like massive flat, that you could stay on and fish. Seemed like most weed beds were in say a 50x50ft area then we would drift off and go another mile or so with very sparse vegitation. But, like others have said, I gotta start using my GPS!

Sounds like you found what you should be finding but need to find the three or four between in that mile. Keep in mind too that some days they're in cabbage, some days in pondweed, some days in milfoil.
