One of the most innovative ever was Eddie Van Halens eruption solo. But I am Partial to Clean players. One of the best solos ever was a country guitarist named Keith Urban. His Debut album called the Ranch(Walkin the Country) had a song on it called Clutterbilly. Freakin amazing finger picking and done on a clean Telecaster. Great three piece band as well. Mike

Did you watch the 95 complete Dark Side concert on PBS last night? Simply awesome.

Back to topic for a second…
Here's the Guitar World magazine top ten…

No coincidence that many named above are on this compilation.

Off topic but… there are two guitar players that I can listen to for weeks at a time. They're just special in their creativity and each has a sound that the instant you hear it you know exactly who they are.

Hendrix, John Mayer and Kirk Hammet are on this list too but I get tired of them faster.

Will, yes I did! I wore out two Dark Side of the Moon albums, you remember vinal, 33's, the big black frisbee's. Couple other two throw in Carlos Santanna, Brian May with Queenand I don't know his name but Alice Cooper's back up band guitar player. Muddy Water, Willie Dixon, B.B. King for the blues. My favorite Muddy Water song, "The Blues had A Baby and the named it Rock N Roll" Steve
