can we set a link on our facebook page that will link over to the MMA page? just asking, it may help with a few new members. It also may help the KTD effort.

There is a website section under your 'info' tab where you could put the MMA homepage.

Shouldn't be too hard at all

The biggest thing is having someone to operate it as an admin. You can set most anyone as an admin. After you get it set up.

I set up a MMA page on facebook and can add anyone as an admin. It has very little on it right now, but shouldn't be too hard to take info from this site and add it to that page.

I was thinking we could use a page. I have one for my dad's fishing charters and it is pretty sweet. They recently added some sweet statistics that you can track, and follow how people found the page like if they searched and clicked on google etc.. pretty cool.

It is a great way to share video's and pics of the group as well and spread info about tournies and outings.

I would help mod it if need be, just let me know

We have a page up and running so feel free to 'like' it when you get a chance. Hopefully people will post pictures and things throughout the year. We took a lot of the info from this site and put in on there including the projects page and the 'MMA motto' from the homepage.

Cool!!!

Tom – can you post a link in the main site footer so people can simply click to "like" MMA?

Looks like I'll have to break down and get a Facebook page.

Will, we can have a link like this on our main page.

"><url url="[Permission to view this media is denied]
"><link_text text="[Permission to view this media is denied] … k-icon.png">[Permission to view this media is denied]
” alt=”
<url url="[Permission to view this media is denied]
"><link_text text="[Permission to view this media is denied] … k-icon.png">[Permission to view this media is denied]
” />

then they will have to "like" it manually from their browser

I don't do Facebook, since it insists that you become a member in order to view anything on it, which I'll never do. So iff someone else can give me the link url for a "like" to place on our website, I can do it.

I've never been a fan of FB just because there is NO secrecy anymore! My wife is constantly gossipping to me about who did what, and when they did it. I know her old high school has canceled a lot of their class reunions, because everyone has connected on FB now. No need to "catch up" anymore. You will see on the MMA page though, that my wife "likes" it. I hacked into her account and MADE her like it. LOL.

There is secrecy on facebook, you just need to know how to use it.

You can block anything and everything from anyone trying to view your page, then you can preview what it looks like to someone who you aren't friends with.

It is really up to each person how they block stuff on fbook even from the people that they are friends with.

Here is the link to our page

<url url="[Permission to view this media is denied]
"><link_text text="[Permission to view this media is denied] … 8948347898">[Permission to view this media is denied]

just link that to a facebook icon on the main page and it should be good to go

That is the truth. I've deleted "facebook friends" just because I got sick of hearing about who they were with this month…..Sheesh. 🙄

Sad but true.. actually if you talk secrecy/data protection, any wifi/myfi hotspots expose your data/drives(unless encrypted) to those who wish to steal your data. Data that is cached by web based browsers and document creators are particularly vulnerable. Translate this into any web based email systems that cache saved email and there is very, very little "secrecy" you have when you sign on to that wonderful thing we call "the net". Just when you think you are being careful by not using facebook.

Happy surfing!
