Yes, next time you spool up go with 50# it's still a smaller diameter than most companies 30#. With Sunline mono and flouro order by diameter and not by the IGFA # rating. Unlike most line companies Sunline doesn't put a random rating on their line, 30# will break at 30# and is a much smaller diameter than other companies 30#.
after conversing with you I decided It would probably be a good idea to upsize considering I only troll on the chain. im sure I could break my rod before the line on this 35 pound though. that sunline is some tough stuff. had to replace straightend trebles on two or three of my lures that found themselves lodged into timber on skeg last season
