MMA is usualy in a position to help with DNR requests for assistance. However, we are in a budget crunch with banquet time fast approaching. Simply stated, every penny we have in the bank at this point is dedicated to the banquet. As a result MMA is unable to meet a request from the hatchery biologist at Wolf Lake.

Concerning the Coolwater Fish Culture Workshop
I have been denied funding through the state and also the union due to budget restrictions. I am inquiring whether MMA would be willing to cover my lodging and meals ($300-$350). The state would cover my time. As you know, this conference is a great meeting of the minds as it pertains to new techniques used in musky culture.

I attended and presented at this workshop when held here in Michigan early this year. The workshop is a great opportunity for biologists and hatchery managers to share and discuss techniques for rearing muskie culture and other coolwater species.
