No comparison. You basically just asked skateboard vs. corvette?
There are other companies out there that make baits with the quality of the original Mayhem DCG. Spanky is one and there are a couple others I've seen that make good baits. Blade thickness is a huge consideration with any bucktail and double tens are no exception. Thin blades and thick blades each have their place.
I love using the Super D's by Tackle Ind. so I was hoping I could fish these too but they just aren't very good. The flashabou gets tangled very easily on the hooks and is difficult to get out. The dominatrix bucktails' blades seem to be really straight and not cupped like others so I think this actually makes them pull harder underwater (good or bad thing?). The split rings and hooks on the dominatrix are not good so you would have to switch them out as well. The paint also comes off of the blades pretty easily so I would stick with the DCG or Spanky baits or Gerry's girls. The thinner blades (.025) will pull harder and fish higher in the water column than the .040 blades. Painted blades will have a little extra thickness and will have a different pull in the water as well.
yea i also agree, the dominatrix are not very good, the comment i made about fixing a double cowgirl, is because one of the ones i own, the hair got caught up in the top hook constantly so much so that it would consistently just rip out the hair, and the top glue finally gave way as well. Like jason said the paint chips incredibly easy even though on their site it shows him smashing and scratching it with a hammer and nothing happens, but as soon as i bumped a log in canada there went all the paint.
Noticed the blades are considerably harder to get spinning as soon as it hits the water compared to other double tens made by different companies.
I have a dominatrix double-10 I won at the banquet in '07, and:
1. The paint has completely flaked off both blades.
2. The clevises which the blades use to spin around the shaft are brass, and are rapidly being chewed up by the blades with normal use.
3. I frequently have difficulty getting the blades to spin at all, and when I do it requires a massive jerk to get it to start (aside from the massive jerk holding the rod).

Ok, so I see I shouldn't get the dominatrix! How about the bigfoot from Bucher? Any thoughts on those yet? I threw one for a minute and thought it pulled hard but compared to the DCG I am not sure.
I have one and I think it pulls less than a DCG. If you get it anywhere near a plastic bait the skirt sticks to it like crazy but overall it seems like a good bait.

One thing to watch for is tinsel vs. wide or saltwater flashabou. Tinsel (Bucher, Tacklebooty, etc.) is junk and you'll hate the stuff.

i thought tackle industry guys that make all those lures are white guys from wisconsin?
Tacklebooty is from MN and has most lures he sells made in China. The other Bulldawg knockoff is from some guys in WI but I think they are also made in China.
Lots of knockoff stuff out there and most of it is just junk.
