Gotcha Walleye – First muskie ever caught trolling – un guided

Bucher Baby DR Shimerin Shad – First muskie ever caught casting and first legal Michigan fish

Nils Invincible (semi retired) Choco Perch – heviest home water (LSC Canada) fish

Cool Chad,
Great topic.
Mr.King restored a wood lure made in the LSC area(dont know who?)
For me.My wife tagged her first ever ski,a 39" murray lake sweetheart
with this lure.It was beat, but now looks incredible.I blew the pic up a litttle
and put it with the lure in a shadow box frame. Its one of her Christmas
presents. So after I won that lure on ebay,it was "one and done". Wink

2 chartruese jackpots that no longer work because of teeth and hook wear, also a perch shallow invader.

I assume retired is not the same as for sale?

I have retired many to the wall of shame, but I couldn't retire a lure that actually works because I would have to just buy another to replace it.

Many have been "retired" unofficially as I haven't used them for years but they are still in "active" tackle boxes. BUT….one that I did REALLY RETIRE OFFICIALLY is a 12 inch tandem bucktail I bought in Minnesota at this tackle shop a guide directed me to after we came in off the water. Earlier in the day I had used one of his handmade tails and boated a nice 40+ fish on Vermilion and had other action, follows on it. He said, he had the SAME lures for sale in this shop. So, I bought one but upon closer examination it didn't appear to be as substantial as the ones he was using on the water that he let me try out. Long story short……..the one I bought that he manufactured FOR SALE (expensive) had a much weaker shaft and when I tried it the first fish I hooked bent the shaft in half by catching the rear hook onto the front clevis and the resulting leverage allowed her to escape. So, I knew this was destined for the junk pile as I would never risk using it again. I ended up displaying it in my office for "laymen" to view near my MH and MI calendars. We never used that guide again either from 3 years ago. He fished out of the front of the boat and had first cast to the spots we approached.
