Anyone know if they are doing it at the public launch site
or have they moved the operation to CP area? And its
this Tuesday for sure correct?
I would contact Matt just to be on the safe side. The last time I talked to him was March 26th. Their plan was to lay out nets Mon, harvest Tues. But their plans might have changed.

Why does it always have to be Tuesday? I always teach at 8:00 am on Tuesday in the Spring. 🙄Maybe I'll come later.
Well, you never know. Maybe they won't get what they need on Tues. and Wed., then they'll be back Thurs. at Thorn.
I don't see why they don't just keep going harvesting. Now this year with the aerators, they should be able to house more fry than ever.

The aerators only keep the oxygen in the ponds at a good level. That doesn't mean they can put more than 12-15,000 in a pond though.
How many reasons would you like?
– they don't need to raise that many fish for stocking
– there isn't room in the hatchery "muskie building" for 100k fry
– they will eat each other in the tubs if there are too many fry
– they will eat each other in the ponds if there are too many fingerlings
– minnows are expensive to feed fingerlings
Yep. Nets went out Monday afternoon. They will be at CP beach around
9 — 9:30am (not alot of time for the fish to migrate into the nets).
Thursday might be a better day to watch?? — per Matt
I also talked him into sending out one of his guys to make an
apperance this spring and talk about muskies to the folks at
that campground. You dont even want to hear some of the
horror stories from that place.
They are kicking arse with the egg take so far. Hudson had record
numbers and a record capture for that lake.Thorn had a great turn-
out considering the short net time and this cold snap we are in.There
were 3 big girls that I seen but I got so tied-up talking with people
and keeping an eye on my kids I didnt get the info on one big girl,
the other big girl was 46" and 30lbs Fat!! I think the longest one
escaped. Dont quote me because like I said I got side tracked but
they were saving her for last and the guy trying to get her out of
the pen was taking a beating from that tail(kinda funny). She
slipped out of the net and took off!
The lake is still high, and the river still a little flooded, but the
muskies are there!
They will be back Thursday to run a few fish through and take
blood samples.
