there is no public launch; you have to launch out of the little park area but that only has about 4 parking spaces and no launch. You can carry canoes and little jon boats down but thats about it. I dont think there are too many left in there if any. Every now and again there are rumors of one caught, but defintely not enough to target really.
Dean got a good slug of true muskies in 2001 paid for by the lake association from MN Muskie Farm. Yes… I know the DNR site says they're tigers but they aren't I promise. There are a good number of them swimming around but it is just one year class that range from about 34-44".
As mentioned you do need a boat that you can drag or carry easily to get on there through the park.
and youll probably catch some bass and pike while youre at it depending on what lures youre fishing. I've caught some nice pike out of there ice fishing and have caught some nice largemouths (20"+) in the summer time. Most of the lake is fairly shallow as well so it cuts down on the lures you can use, but if youre using a SS shad or smaller bucktail you could easily catch a lot of other fish as well.
