Fellow Musky Jonsers,

I just wanted to let you know that we just got a major selection of Phantom lures in at the shop last week. Our shipment included: standard phantom, small phantom, large soft tail, small soft tail, large vipers and small vipers.

As many of you know, the phantom lures made by Todd Cleveland are some of the most popular glider baits on the market. They are very easy to work, have excellent side to side action and Catch fish.

We have a great selection of all Todd's standard colors along with some custom colors he had left over from his booth during show season.

Another new lure we have added is Red October Baits Monster Tubes. They include the the 7.5" ninja, 10" monster tube and the all NEW 14" Twisty tube. The lures come pre-rigged with a 2oz custom jig head with trailer hook. The Twisty tube is awesome and can be worked several ways. When using the 1.5oz head, you can get the bait to go side to side. The maker of the bait has fished river systems with current with great luck and this should be an excellent choice for all you Detroit river fisherman. They made heads to 3 oz's. We have a selection of replacement jig heads in 1.5, 2 and 3 oz's. I have caught a few fish already this year in Indiana over open water. Give one a try!!

Our musky selection is one of the best in the area and I would encourage you guys to help us support local business, its very important, especially here in Michigan.

For those of you who do not live in Kazoo, feel free to contact me and we have no trouble shipping baits to you. We are working on adding the entire selection on their new online shop, but that takes time.

I am very excited to announce that in the next few weeks I will be receiving my second shipment of Nate baits. I ordered my first batch and they were gone very quickly.

For those of you who are not familiar with Nate's bait, its a SUPER realistic swim bait that has quickly became a favorite of mine. The lures are made from a super hard plastic and have a rubber, replaceable tail. All Nate baits include 2 spare tails. New tails are available for FREE and all that is needed is a self addressed, stamped envelope sent to Nate. He will send you replacements immediately. You can check out Nate's baits @ <url url="[Permission to view this media is denied]
">** you do not have permission to see this link **.

He has several different sizes of lures and each has incredible lifelike action. They are super easy to throw, durable and can be worked several ways.

I have had luck this year almost burning the bait them stopping it in its tracks, then quickly regaining the cadence. The fish usually hit right after the pause. All the fish I have caught or saw caught have had the entire bait in the fishes mouth. That means they are killing the thing.

Please call me with any questions regarding Nate baits or any other tackle we offer at D & R. We have a full selection of flouro leaders, release tools, line, string ease snaps etc.

Please call me with any questions. 616.308.1998 or 269.718.7834 if I can help you out in any way.

Can D&R PLEASE open a shop in the Lansing area? Purty PLEEEEEEEZE!

Anyway, failing that, I'll keep in mind that you can mediate for us for things not on the web store yet. That's good enough for now.

Thanks, Shane. [smilie=applause.gif]

I'll look forward to working with D&R on ways they can support MMA.

This is another one of those feel good moments… without MMA D&R would have little if any reason to stock muskie lures in their store.

I always stop by D&R Shop when ever I visit the Wolf Lake Hatchery.
Their selection is much better than the little bs shop at Montague.

Shane, D & R is about a hour from my house. Only been there once, they repaired my trolling motor, excellant service. Nice store, didn't have alot of time in there, did see the musky in the tank. pretty cool! Can you list the baits they have by the manufactures? Thanks Steve

Way to go Shane! Maybe that is what it takes is someone that is knowledgable about muskies to take the initiative to go into these tackle shops and say "hey, Michigan has a decent and growing muskie fishery and there are plenty of people out there who would buy musky tackle if it was available."
