Read on FB that the OP says this is not in effect yet and US residents are still required to call into CN.

Any updates on crossing into Canadian waters free and clear? Or so I still need to call in prior to jumping boarders?

second hand info so take it FWIW.heard a guy said he called in took forever for someone to answer and finally was told you only have to call in if you are anchoring or making landfall.this was last week.
