Hello All
I recently gave my frabil power catch net to my dad, a tad big for walleye (33"x30" or so), but it was not big enough for skies. I am thinking about getting either the big khauna by frabil or the large stowmaster. Anyone have a good preference or have one they are happy with that i should look into?
Thanks
Bryan
I have a Stowmaster TS116Y Muskie Model and also bought the cover for it. Used it last season and give it good marks. Very well built and user friendly ( warning, it is a little heavy and could be hard for some people to manuvere ), I love the treated bag with the smaller openings, which helps reduce on split fins.
I choose the Stowmaster for one reason, it saves a lot of room in the boat. My second choice would have been a Beckman Finsaver because it also has the smaller openings in the netting.
I also just bought a second Stowmaster (TS72N) for lesser species like walleye, and that fits inside the rod locker when not in use.

I've had the Mag-Finsaver since they first came out and it has been great. It's reasonably light, so it's easy to net with one hand when fishing alone. Heck, my four year old even netted some fish with it last year. I don't have a space issue so my net stays extended and laying on the floor 100% of the time.
That said, the Stowmaster and Kahuna are both good, fish friendly, nets.
